Olsen Shipping Limited is a locally owned and operated, independent shipping agency located in the city of Napier, New Zealand. Evolving from the previous company C.A. Olsen Limited (a highly regarded shipping agency company that commenced operations in 1962). The directors wished to continue with the respected “Olsen” name, so the new company was subsequently established as “Olsen Shipping Limited”.

The company offers a broad range of shipping agency services for vessels calling at the Port of Napier, plus full logistics, international freight forwarding and cargo marketing, for worldwide destinations to and from New Zealand.

The agency represents many New Zealand based shipping principals, and their vessels, calling at Napier Port– and cargoes to/from. We also offer direct liaison with overseas principals to provide excellence of service to vessel and NVOCC (Non Vessel Operating Cargo Carriers). Olsen Shipping Limited only engages experienced and professional personnel with many staff being involved in the shipping industry for over 20 years. We are committed to providing high levels of value and excellence of service.

The Company is a member of Shipping New Zealand as well as belonging to the Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce, which ensures a strong focus on current business trends and industry guidelines.

Olsen Shipping Limited are very service orientated and foster close working relationships with shipping principals, Napier Port personnel, government authorities, stevedores, customs agents, importers and exporters and are keen to further develop this profile.
